Internet dating is grim

Internet dating is grim.
Don't get me wrong I've met some awesome people.
None that I want to actively date.

I have decided that I can't have it all,
It can't be the same music likes, same movie likes, same TV likes, same comic likes or a love of video games.

It needs to be one though.

I reckon someone with the same movie likes or who at least enjoys movies - they don't even need to be the same movies as me but I love discussing movies.
TV would be a good added plus but most people will like at least a few shows that I like.
Music and other geek stuff doesn't need to be too important but would be awesome.

The thing is most of the people I have met do not fit into any or maybe one bracket.
And that poses and issue, if someone is beautiful but hates all the stuff you like is it worth it.
If someone isn't your type but loves all the things you love does this make them more beautiful?
It's a strange process but I am at the stage where I want to have a bash at dating and maybe a relationship again, I am terrified of being hurt but I reckon if I don't do it now I may never do it.
Things with my ex are good, I don't want that relationship back and I don't pine for her, its time to move on in my love life.
